Today, I read the counter argument (against
the persistent claims made
by Chinese government) in some mailmagazine. I
reproduce it below.
This is the counter argument
(against the persistent claims made
by Chinese government)
First of all, both Japan and England are democratic nations
where
citizen’s freedom is guaranteed.
China, on the other hand, is Communist Nation of one Ruling
Party.
It is an autocratic government where citizens are given NO
freedom
to elect their political representatives, choose their own
religion, or
express their opinion publicly.
Liu Xiaoming, the Ambassador to England, “warned” the world
about Japanese “reversing back to militarism“ calling Japan
“the dark wizard Voldemort”. (ref_1)
Wait a minute -- what about China, who calls Japan “the dark
wizard Voldemort”What kind of nation is China?
As everybody in the world knows, today, in the 21st century,
China is still “a nation of one ruling party of Communists.”
In China, there exists: No democratic election, No freedom
of
speech, No freedom of faith, just to name a few.
Democratic election, freedom of speech and faith are among
many that we in Japan and in England take for granted.
They are just like air and water.
On the other hand, Japan, whom China persistently
criticizes, enjoys
exactly the same system that England has, after resurrecting
itself
as free, democratic nation after WW II.
Now let’s compare Japan and China in its (1) Philosophy, (2)
History,
and (3) Current status.
(1) Philosophy - The ultimate objective of China, which is a
Communist Country, is to overthrow Capitalism (capitalist
nations)?
As you know, Japan is a “Free, Democratic Nation.”
Its citizens have strong rights and Japan is known to be
“the nation
where Prime Ministers frequently change.”
Let me say, for the sake of the argument, the Japanese Prime
Minister declares to bring back militarism.
He will just lose in the next election and Japan will be
back to a
peaceful nation after he is gone.
Japanese citizens seek peace.
The whole world praised Japanese citizens for not causing
any
violence and acting calmly when the “East Japan Earthquake
and
Tsunami” devastated them and damaged their homes and cities.
We, Japanese, are undoubtedly “a people of peace” and do not
allow dictators or militaristic leaders to govern our
nation.
On the other hand, China still maintains a dictator system
by a
Communist Party.
The Communist party is the political party that believes in
Communism
and Marxism created by Karl Marx.
The Communist movement with a goal to “Overthrow Capitalism”
succeeded in creating the Soviet Union in 1917 through the
“Russian Revolution.”
The power of Communism spread all over the world.
Communists called Japan “the Japanese Empire,” England as
“the
British Empire”, and United States as “the American Empire”.
Japan, England and America were the enemies of the
Communists.
Both Japan and England were “Main Enemies” of the Communist
nations and serious threats to the Soviet Union.
However, at the end of 1991, the Soviet Union collapsed and
(the
world became safer).
However the Communist China remained.
China introduced “Capitalism” into its economy and achieved
miracle economic growth.
However there is one thing we cannot forget.
Chinese economy is surely capitalist but its political
system is
still one party ruled by Communists.
In other words, the essence of this country is exactly the
same
as the old Soviet Union which President Regan referred to as
“the Evil Empire.”
China has a strong hatred towards England, Japan, the United
States, etc., and believes in an ideology to destroy them.
I am sure they will deny that.
But we, as members of free democratic countries, have the
following questions:
(1) If you have thrown away the Communist ideology and
hatred
towards Capitalistic nations, why haven’t you changed the
name of
your party?
In “Christianity” there are different denominations such as
“Church of England”, “Catholic”, “Protestant”, etc.
However they all believe in Jesus Christ - this is their
common bond.
The same goes with the name “Communist Party.”
It means that you believe in the Communist doctrine claimed
by Karl Marx.
If China no longer has the Communist mission to overthrow
Capitalism then it must change its name immediately.
(2) Why doesn’t China start a democratic election?
(3) Liu Xiaoming said, “Today’s China is different. China
and
England are allies.”
But this is not convincing.
China does not conduct democratic elections, which is
carried out
in most countries in the world such as Japan and England.
“One Party Ruling” is a very abnormal system to us Japanese
or
British.
This system makes it extremely difficult for us to trust
what China
has to say.
If China wants to prove that it is a British Ally, then why
not
conduct democratic elections right now?
If China wants to call Japan, the country of free democracy,
a
“militaristic” nation, it should become aware of having a
very
abnormal political system in the eyes of a democracy.
“Post WW II” Chinese History of
War and Massacre
Yes, Japan and Britain fought against each other during the
WWII.
So British people may dislike Japan because of this.
Japan has a very strong determination that it will never
ever
engage in a war, not only against England but against any
other
nations of the world.
To prove this strong determination, Japan has NEVER engaged
in a single war since the end of WWII.
How about China, who wants to view Japan as “militaristic”
nation?
China has engaged in MANY wars and territorial conflicts
since the
end of the WW II.
First of all, China invaded Tibet right after the
establishment of
Communist China in 1949.
We must not forget that China murdered 1.2 million Tibetans.
After the invasion of Tibet, China was engaged in various
wars and
conflicts against its neighbors such as the following:
1962 Sino-Indian War
1969 Sino-Soviet border conflict
1979 Sino-Vietnamese War
Turning our eyes inwards to domestic issues of China, the
following
horrendous facts perhaps remain as fresh memories in our
minds:
Mao Zedong failed in his “Great Leap Forward” policy that he
started in 1958. An estimated 20 - 50 million Chinese people
died
of starvation.
Then over 10 million people died during the “Cultural
Revolution”
from 1968 - 1977.
Mao Zedong, the father of Communist China, became the world
famous tyrant and murderer of his own people, just like
Hitler
and Stalin.
Deng Xiaoping was an able leader who brought the economic
miracle to China.
However, under his leadership, tens of thousands of citizens
were
killed in Tiananmen Square protests of 1989.
The leaders of current Communist Party will probably say,
“We are
different from Mao Zedong.”
However, we want to ask China:
“If you are not following Mao Zedong, why do you still have
a huge
portrait of Mao Zedong in the middle of Tiananmen Square?”
(As you know, the former Soviet Union got rid of its statues
and
portraits of Stalin right after his death, as they do not
glorify the
dictatorship of Stalin, which was similar to Mao Zedong.)
The capital city of China, Beijing
Tiananmen Square, which occupies the center of Beijing.
The huge portrait of Mao Zedong is displayed in this
Tiananmen Square.
Doesn’t it clearly show that the current Communist Party of
China is
“the loyal heir of Mao Zedong?”
We, the people of democratic nations, must not forget:
China has not changed.
Some of you may disagree, saying China is different from the
way
it was in the past.
Let’s look at the CURRENT China then.
On March 17th, Xi Jinping talked about the “Chinese Dream.”
“In order to materialize the Chinese Dream, we must proceed
in
our own, unique way.”
“That is the unique Chinese Socialist way.”
The Premier of China, who calls Japanese Prime Minister
“a militarist,” declared, “China will maintain Communist One
Party
Rule political system from now on.”
We must remember this.
There was an incident that truly showed us that current
China
does not belong to the free, democratic world.
Mr. Li? Xi?ob?, who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2010,
is
still in jail for the crime of “seeking democracy” in China.
It became everyone’s knowledge that in 2010, China pressured
and threatened Norway not to give the Nobel Peace Prize to
Li?
Xi?ob?.
However, Li? Xi?ob? did receive the Nobel Peace Prize in the
end.
China then threatened many nations telling them not to
participate
in the Nobel Prize Ceremony to be held in Oslo.
However many countries ignored China’s threat and decided to
participate.
China became angry with these participating nations and
began
strictly limiting the export of rare earth to them.
Through a series of these incidents, China gave strong
impressions
to the world that current China is far from being a
democratic country.
Yes, China now and China then is the same “Communist One
Party
Ruled Nation”.
Bad Dream - China as a World’s
Superpower
Since the worst economic recession in 100 years began in
2008,
America, as a superpower of the world, has been losing its
strength.
As America has weakened, China is on the offence now.
Recently, China has caused a number of territorial disputes
with
Japan, Viet Nam, Philippines, etc., with the clear goal to
have
the entire East and South China Seas under its complete
control.
For example, Chinese claim for Senkaku Islands is equivalent
to
“stealing”.
Japan declared its territorial right of Senkaku Islands in
1895.
Between 1895 and 1970’s, China NEVER ONCE claimed its
territorial
right of Senkaku Islands.
But when it became clear that there was “oil” in the area,
China
suddenly declared “Senkaku Islands belong to China.”
What about the proof that the islands belong to Japan?
It is in the British Library.
Please look for the maps PUBLISHED IN CHINA before 1970’s.
Every map shows that “Senkaku Islands belong to Japan”.
This is the “Proof” that China recognized Senkaku Islands as
Japanese territory until 1970.
At any rate, we all need to be aware that the Superpower
America
is becoming weaker and Chinese power is getting stronger.
What is the prospect of a Communist One Party Ruled Nation
becoming the World Superpower?
Superpower America spread democracy to the world.
Superpower Soviet Union tried to spread Communism to the
world.
Thus, “the system of superpowers” influence is tremendous.
If China becomes the world superpower, its political system
may affect
many other nations.
That is to say that there is danger where many countries in
the world
may become like China, under the system of one party
dictatorship,
where people are not allowed to elect their representatives
or to have
freedom of speech or religion.
We, the citizens of the free democracy, need to prevent this
dreadful
possibility.
You now understand that China is essentially different from
a free,
democracy like Japan and England.
When China shouts that a free, democratic country like Japan
is
“the country of militarism”, we must understand that it is
an
attempt to split Japan and England.
Japan is a democratic nation where its military budget is
only 1%
of GDP and sees a different prime minister every year.
Japan CANNOT be the dark wizard Voldemort.
The nation that throws in jail any and every citizen
opposing to the
government
The nation that threatens the world in order to achieve its
goals
The nation that stops exporting rare earth to the countries
that do
not follow its requests
China, the nation of “Communist One Party Ruled Government”,
IS THE TRUE “dark wizard Voldemort”.
